The modus operandi of RSI’s Rentals division has been to focus and penetrate with specialised products and services that the company already possess as a manufacturer of repute, and grow on the strengths of this established and proven range

For over four decades, Red Sea International (RSI) has been the leading manufacturer of high-quality portable modular buildings for varied sectors ranging from Building and Construction, Infrastructure, and Projects, to Oil and Gas, Mining, and Defence.

Serving customers in more than 65 countries world-wide with superior and affordable containerised solutions, RSI always continually evolved itself to cater to client needs with products for utilities and services including facilities management, housekeeping, catering and maintenance.

RSI has known the pulse of the market. With tough market conditions, its clients needed viable financial options for completing their projects. This gave rise to an increasing demand for flexible rental modules in the kingdom, requiring RSI to start its dedicated Rental Operations to tap into this potential rentals market through existing and new clientele.

The evolution of the rentals market has been such that not only do the clients ask for more renting options, but also seek new products and services to rent. They want to be on the move, and be focused on their core business. This implies that not only does the rental company have to withstand the market demands but also it needs to be adaptable enough to change with the shifting market requirements.

Thus the modus operandi of RSI’s Rentals division has been to focus and penetrate with specialised products and services that the company already possess as a manufacturer of repute, and grow on the strengths of this established and proven range, to serve this market most adequately.

This not only has brought customers closer by providing them with the much needed temporary alternatives and solutions, but has also increased the opportunities of other products that could be offered alongside the standard range available.

As of date, the new division operates out of Jubail, mainly in the Eastern Province with a clear and definite plan to grow and penetrate further into the kingdom and beyond.

Currently, the main clients for Rentals have been from the Oil and Gas (both upstream and downstream), Building and Construction, and Services companies for – offices, key worker accommodations and sheltered housings, and blast-proof units amongst others.

However, the division now aims to also explore other streams including but not limited to the fast-growing Events market in Saudi Arabia, the Education sector (with needs for temporary classroom units and additional ablution units for school functions), and High-security facilities for the government and the military.

With the speed of product turnaround being a key for any rentals market provider, RSI’s longstanding experience and reliability in the market, has been helpful in its market penetration. Having taken the initial step to provide products along with a 24/7 commitment on services, the company has now begun to strategically build upon its rental fleet for a well-planned move further into the industry, confident to succeed.

While modular building solutions themselves pave the way to a sustainable future, by encouraging customers to reuse products, RSI sees its penetration into the rentals market as a step towards furthering its vision for instilling sustainability.
