'This year we added steam boilers to our fleet in the region to offer a complete solution for our customers during the pre-commissioning activities and shutdown jobs,' he says.

Currently, Atlas Copco Rental Middle East has the biggest regional depot in Jubail and also depots in major cities like Riyadh, Khobar and Jeddah, and a depot under construction in Yanbu near major oil and gas facilities to cover the western coast of Saudi Arabia, reveals Tamari.

Last year, the company moved to the Jubail depot, which has more than 10,000 sq m of space to accommodate its fleet and operations in the eastern part of Saudi Arabia.

Because of the growing demand for specialised rental solutions, Atlas Copco Rental Middle East continues adding new equipment and products to its portfolio including steam boilers, pumps and high-pressure diesel driven compressors.

'Last year our major focus was on supporting contractors in the oil and gas and petrochemical sectors with innovative solutions to meet the changing demand in the market,' he says.

Jizan refinery project was a tremendous success for Atlas Copco’s 100 per cent oil-free air solutions as its key customers were looking for solutions with the highest quality, reliability and safety standards.

Another success area was the midstream projects with many gas pipelines being laid throughout the kingdom where Atlas Copco Rental Middle East provided major contractors with its state-of-the-art on-site nitrogen generation membranes that helped them achieve better results in less time, he notes.

They are available 24/7 to ensure full support for the project from installation and maintenance to decommissioning and transport.'

Atlas Copco’s equipment are designed, manufactured and tested to comply with ISO-1217 regulations; its machinery is built with API specifications in mind. The company offers to include DNV crash frames for offshore deployment, corrosion-proof products for marine environments as well as ATEX-certified compressors operating in offshore areas, Tamari explains.

Regarding safety, he says safety as a priority is not easy to achieve nor to maintain, thus, more focus will be always required on team competency and equipment quality assurance.
