As the world enters the 4th Industrial Age, the world’s demand for energy and energy-based products is increasing at an unprecedented rate. Oil and gas remains essential to the broader energy mix and a key enabler of tomorrow’s global economy.

The primary mission of the oil and gas industry in the 4th Industrial Age is to stay ahead of the world’s growing energy demand. Adipec is calling this mission ‘Oil and Gas 4.0’. Oil and Gas 4.0, the Strategic Conference at Adipec, is rethinking how the industry adapts and applies disruptive and innovative technologies. Subject-matter experts will share practical and applied knowledge on technology ranging from exploration to development and production of resources.

This year, Adipec will launch the Offshore and Marine Conference, adding a dedicated strategic stream to the conversation, hosted by Adnoc Logistics and Services (Adnoc LandS), taking place on November 13, 2019. Adipec 2019 introduces six exclusive, closed door roundtables, solely attended by CEOs and C-level executives, not only from leading international oil and gas companies, but also from the top foremost technology companies and global thought leaders spearheading innovation and disrupting industries across the world.

INNOVATION, AGILITY

Innovation, transformation and agility are the backbone of today’s forward thinking oil and gas company in the evolving energy landscape. They enable organisations to move their strategic business choices at pace, and create new company structures, business models and diverse partnerships, as they respond to new and emerging global megatrends.

Adipec Oil and Gas 4.0 embraces these values, leveraging the benefits of the 4th Industrial Age. Adipec 2019 introduces seven exclusive, closed door roundtables, solely attended by CEOs and C-level executives.

Stimulating intellectual, open and meaningful dialogue, the Oil and Gas 4.0 Strategic Roundtables will generate actionable outcomes and recommendations in support of transformative strategies that will help businesses to successfully navigate the evolving energy landscape.

The global oil and gas industry will benefit from the post-roundtables’ published White Papers, which will detail the actionable outcomes and insights from each of the seven conversations.

Adipec 2019 will host the 7th edition of the Young Adipec programme, fully supported by Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK). Since its creation back in 2013, the Young Adipec programme has received praise and recognition from across the oil and gas industry.

Aimed at High School students aged between 14 and 17 years old, Young Adipec is designed to win the hearts and minds of today’s youth and highlight the wealth and diversity of career opportunities in the sector. Over 2500 students from across the UAE have passed through the programme since its inception in 2013 and our aim is to continue to grow this number in 2019 as we prepare to engage and encourage students to explore what the industry has to offer.

"Its always a pleasure to come and see this great annual event which demonstrates the importance of the UAE – the people in this field, in the petrochemical field, in the oil field. I like to come here to see and to thanks Adnocs emphasis on the youth. To show them the opportunities available for them in the future so they enroll in petrochemicals," says Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Tolerance, United Arab Emirates.
