Al Yahyaei is Opal's new CEO

Al Yahyaei ... in the lead.

Oman Society for Petroleum Services (Opal) has appointed Abdulrahman Al Yahyaei as its new CEO.

Al Yahyaei joins Opal with more than 16 years of diverse professional experience in business marketing, planning, finance and business development and has held several senior positions in the government and oil and gas industry. His most recent role was Director at Occidental Oil Asia, responsible for Marketing and Operations in the Arab Gulf Region.

Al Yahyaei holds a bachelor’s degree in financial accounting from Sultan Qaboos University and MBA from the University of Strathclyde.

Speaking on his appointment, Al Yahyaei said: 'I’m here for the same reason I think most people join Opal—to standardise certain industry practices and enhance skills through world-class training that empowers people to do amazing things, including empowering our youth and future generations in order to sustain prosperity of the energy sector'.

The Opal Board of Directors has expressed it sincere wishes to Al Yahyaei and the Opal team for success on their continued efforts in realising Opal ambition and vision.
