PREPARATIONS are in full swing for the sixth edition of the Saudi Arabia International Oil and Gas Exhibition (Saoge) 2014 which will take place from November 24 to 26 this year at the Dhahran International Exhibitions Centre in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

Saoge was launched in November 2008 as the premier event for the oil and gas industry in Saudi Arabia. It was established to meet the requirement for the largest oil producing country in the world to host its own focused oil and gas show. It attracts high-level technical experts, key industry professionals, specialists and decision makers in various sectors of the petroleum Industry.

The event has shown steady growth over the five editions and it continues to receive increased attendance both internationally and in the kingdom.

In its first edition in 2008, Saoge attracted 207 exhibiting companies from 28 different countries and more than 5,600 attendees. In 2009 participation increased by 23 per cent, with a further 15 per cent increase for the 2010 edition, 16 per cent for the 2012, and a further growth for 2013 with a total number of attendees of 7,975 and now it represents Saudi Arabia’s premier international exhibition for the oil and gas sector.

The fifth edition of the show was held on November 25 to 27, 2013 at the Dhahran International Exhibition Centre in Dammam, and welcomed 7975 visitors with representation from 25 countries.

Leading the official inauguration and tour of the Saoge 2013 exhibition, was Prince Jalawi Bin Abdulaziz Bin Mosaad, Deputy Governor of Eastern Province who officially opened the fifth edition of the event.

Providing the complete event in Saudi Arabia for the oil and gas industry, Saoge attracts high level technical experts, key industry professionals, specialists and decision makers in various sectors of the petroleum industry. Saoge has become the largest oil and gas specific exhibition seen in over a decade in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.

Saoge maintains its position as the sole oil and gas exhibition in the Eastern province, and continues to deliver an essential platform for key industry professionals, specialists and decision makers. Attendees travel from across the Gulf region and beyond to Dammam where Saoge facilitates the perfect platform to meet, network, learn and strengthen relationships.

The kingdom holds a quarter of the world’s proven oil reserves and plays a vital role in meeting the global energy demands, and Saoge provides the perfect opportunity to understand the large role played by the oil and gas sector and the business opportunities it presents to local and international companies.

Over 180 companies from 25 countries were represented at Saoge 2013.  Participating companies come to show their respective tools and technology to current and prospective clients.
